Arenz Heating & Plumbing wanted a site that would be one, long scrolling page. The main page has multiple sections showing what they offer, testimonials, customer resources and contact information. The navigation brings the user to the corresponding section and an arrow appears at the bottom of the page to take the user back to the top. All graphics used on the site were original and created by me using illustrator and photoshop.
In order for the site’s CMS capabilities to be as user friendly as possible, the backend was set up to reflect the exact order of content on the front end. PHP was used to set a framework for the main page, while there were wysiwyg text editors underneath in which they could enter and edit each section separately. It was also requested that the website be utilized as a tool for their employees to enter their hours. There is a password protected page that the employees had access to. They would enter their time in and their time out. Then that entry was ran through a script that determined the amount of hours, subtracted time for their break if necessary and then sent the results to their office for processing.
